The pursuit of a design solution is, to me, first a process of discovery.  All options are considered at the onset.   My early concepts are pliable, able to be stretched and twisted, as they are analyzed and tested; and all the more effectively with the input of my colleagues.   As these initial concepts are investigated they are strengthened in plausibility and integrity.  Thoughtful consideration of the numerous interrelated details lead the way to deliberate choices.  

 

These choices are informed by the previous stages of investigation and a well-designed solution is materialized through confident choices of form, material, texture and color.
